Take Off Your Pants!
Sitting in the car after getting home from Taiwan. We are about to go somewhere. My mom, my dad and I. And my mom turns around and says to me: Take off your pants! I reply with: What? Then she answers: yes, I wanna see if you got a tattoo. Are you serious? Yes, I am serious. Then they weren't going to take me anywhere unless I showed them if I had a tattoo or not. And my dad was in on it, too! I was so outraged that I left the car!

Organ Donation Day!
I must be in need of money.
Y'know how there's "Ride Your Bike to Work Day" to help the environment?
Well I had a dream there was "Organ Donation Day" to help people on organ donation lists. On this day, every single person who wanted to donate an organ, did so all at once, at a specific time, on one day (obviously, whatever controls the "well-organized charity planning" part of my brain isn't active when I'm asleep).
I've always wanted to donate a kidney to a random person in need, and in my dream, I also decided to give someone half my liver (I specifically remember laughing with the doctor about something because "the liver regenerates itself, right? haha"). So why not take both out at once? Plus, as I was being wheeled into the operating room, and as they were applying the anesthesia, they told me I was going to get $100,000 for my organ donations. It turns out, that was one of the driving forces behind me donating all along.

Unrequited Love Requited??
A few nights ago, I had a dream that I ran into my first love. This dream is one of those reoccurring dreams that always seem to pop up from time to time. I ran into my first love and we got to talking and chatting. I thought of what a fool I had been to leave him all those years ago and how blind I was. And that there never would be a better guy for me. Then he confessed that he was still in love with me and had just been waiting for me to be free. He said that he was going to leave his current girlfriend to be with me. I couldn't believe it and I was unbelievably happy. We were going to get married. I still couldn't believe it.
Well, it felt so real, but when I woke up I knew it wasn't the case. My first love is getting married in less than two weeks to a really great girl. I have never met her, but I know they are perfect for each other.
So why these dreams now? Probably because deep down inside, I still love him. I admire the person that he is. Also probably because he is getting married in less than two weeks.
Okay, I have to confess that this isn't the first dream I've had of this situation.
Well, that's a wrap. I will try to dream of guys that are available next time. ;)

The Jumper
*Why is it that the people I haven't seen in years are the most frequent visitors to my dreams? Childhood friends from Alaska are always there in my dreams. This time it was a red-headed kid that I haven't even thought about since the fifth grade. I had this dream a few days ago. Last few nights have been stressful.*
I knew someone had jumped from this building.
It flashed blue neon lights, shining almost obscenely into the comfort of the night. The night smelled like wet pavement, and incense.
I casually pointed it out to you as we walked towards the building. That's the building he jumped from, I said to you. But you already knew about it. It was going to be our hostel for the night.

I had seen the jump from his point of view. I felt the anticipation, fear, and helplessness in the moment that his feet left the roof and he hung, suspended briefly in the air before the sharp and quick descent. I knew the certainty, as heavy as the thud I had landed with, that I was dead.
Jump.
It was a dorm-like hostel, and like many hostels in Asia, we had to remove our shoes before entering. There were dozens, if not hundreds, of shoes thrown carelessly in piles outside the door at the end of the stairwell. My eye caught the dirty yellow converse high-tops. We had to share the beds with strangers.
Then suddenly during the night, we both woke up with no apparent cause. But we both knew we had to go save the jumper -- he hadn't jumped yet. We were early to the event. We could stop him. We ran downstairs, but I couldn't find my shoes, so I grabbed the first pair of shoes I could find, the yellow converses. They were about 3 sizes too big and hung off my feet like clown shoes but I wore them anyways.
We ran out into the cool night air -- but we were too late.
He had already jumped.
The End.
